The concealed permit thing is a great idea.

The neighborhood has this scarecrow thing. We had a lady who died of cancer recently who spearheaded a movement to have everyone put some sort of scarecrow up on their porches. Close to 80% of the houses participate and some get creative with their displays.

The hippies usually make some sort of statement. Last year they did 3 blind mice and it was pretty cute, but prior to that they had a Steve Irwin tribute and they've done animal based stuff too.

I'm thinking of a hunting scene. Maybe with a camo'ed up scarecrow blasting a deer scarecrow or clubbing a baby seal scarecrow.

That reminds me of a funny film I saw in HS. Oceanography class showed a film of people clubbing baby seals. I was giggling the whole time because it was like a Three Stooges reel. They'd bonk em on the head and down they'd go.

^^^and THAT reminds me of that "Scare Tactics" episode where the PITA guy was brought into a lab where he was told they were experimenting on animals and they had this little half rat/half man thing running around...THAT was hilarious. Now I have to go find it again to watch.
