THIS REALLY bothered me when I saw it last night. What is he thinking? He didn't bow to the Queen of England (not that he should have), but even if it was just an impulsive reaction, why didn't he do that with her, but felt the need to do it for this guy?

I'm sorry, but he's starting to really scare me now.

And with zero checks and balances on this guy, I'm doubly concerned. Not thrilled with his "I'm watching the situation" reaction to the pirates deal on the American ship. You're watching it? Glad to know you're doing nothing more than I'm doing. Argh.

before anyone here accuses anyone of being a rush limbaugh, brainwashed, right-wing nut, i just want to point out that dick morris has defended barry if you can believe that....he's more upset at the fact that barry has "bowed down" to europe and allowed the european central bankers to control our american financial system.

barry is SO hell bent on wanting the world to love him that he'll concede all rules and precedents set before him...it's the CHAAAANGE we (as americans) voted for i guess

Thanks rad...I don't like to be worried about this stuff, but I think it's just one thing after another that is getting to me. I couldn't really tell what he was doing in the video, but I wonder if it was one of those things that you do like when you great some Asian peeps...they bow to each other, so maybe he was thinking like that? I dunno.

i personally don't have a problem with it though your point about consistency is a great point!

why is it that he bows down to muslim royalty yet HUGGING the queen is the choice greeting for the queen of england? why not bow or curtsy to the queen if it is your rule of thumb to 'do as the romans do when you are in rome'?

in addition to having inconsistency in his protocols, barry thumbs his nose to precedences set by prior administrations in an attempt to be LIKED by europe and the rest of the world....shit has gone to his block head i'm afraid.

again - i don't actually have a problem with it...it's the inconsistencies that bother me ALOT as does the BLATANT disregard for protocol precedences set years and years before him that really scare me.....ADDITIONALLY - it's the pretending that it WASN'T a bow that blows me away...it was a fucking bow idiots...it wasn't an awkwardness based on the king being so much shorter than barry! the queen is even shorter yet he didn't bow...wtf? just say it was a bow and many more would actually understand it...but to LIE, and to FAKE US ALL OUT and pretend it wasn't is not only demeaning and insulting but it's just plain stupid.

having said all that - i'd be way more bothered if he'd had bowed on american soil...i shudder at the thought and am not quite sure what barrys view is on that given all his protocol fuck ups of late...i don't have a problem with the 'when in rome' attitude though i doubt we'd ever see any other foreign dignitary forego their own protocols for the sake of 'doing it as the romans do' just to appease barry

doesn't matter. The Queen of England, figurehead or not, deserves the same if not not more respect than you show the King of Saudi Arabia. If you're not bowing to British Royalty while in London than you damn sure don't do it in Saudi Arabia.

It was definitely a problem for me with the last administration. Obama's doing nothing to fix the biggest mistakes we've made that are continuing to threaten the future of this country. He has the same glaring flaw in that he's merely continuing the status quo, even though we ALL know that the status quo is bullshit.

He's letting the banks get away with the biggest crime in history. He's continuing to claim that the government isn't subject to the laws of this country. Sooner or later, people are going to realize that they have no incentive to follow the rules anymore and when they realize that, our society will be burned to the ground overnight. He's complicit in maintaining this unnecessary risk by not enforcing the laws properly. Just like Bush was complicit. This whole notion that Bush's fuckups give Obama the right to do whatever the fuck he wants is about the most absurd mindset I can imagine when we're talking about the future security and productivity of our whole world.
